Oscar-winning actor Resul Pookutty calls ‘RRR’ a ‘gay love story’ and says Alia Bhatt was a ‘prop’ in the film

Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty recently called Ram Charan and Jr NTR’s “RRR” a “gay love story.”

Responding to a Twitter user, who called SS Rajamouli’s film ‘trash’, Resul said it was a gay love story and actress Alia Bhatt was a ‘prop’ in the film.

Resul disabled the reply option to his comment. However, fans quoted his tweet and wrote that they didn’t expect such a response from an Oscar winner.

“They didn’t show her as eye candy with revealing clothes, they didn’t give her extra screen time even though she’s a great actress, she played a big role in history Tell me how is she a prop? And what fucking movie knowledge do you have to win an Oscar? a fan wrote.

A few users also trolled Resul for his tweets. “He got an Oscar but no one outside his street knows about him,” one user wrote.

Hours after being trolled, Resul tweeted, “Yes, I just quoted something that was already in the public domain…no offense meant…”

“That’s what they called it in the west, I just quoted it,” he wrote in another tweet.

Titled by Jr NTR and Ram Charan, “RRR” is a fictional period drama that revolves around two early 20th century Indian freedom fighters. The film received praise for its enormous cinematic scale, action, and drama.
